(Patria) - Saudi Arabia has stated that it reserves the right to a military response against Iran, after being targeted by ballistic missiles. Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud stated that trust in relations with Tehran has been seriously undermined and accused Iran of hostile actions in the region.
Iran had previously accused Israel of attacking the South Pars gas field, and threatened strikes on energy targets in the Gulf, after which missiles were fired towards Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi authorities state that they intercepted most of the missiles, including four ballistic missiles that targeted Riyadh. Bin Farhan emphasized that Riyadh still prefers diplomacy, but warned that if Iran does not stop the attacks, trust cannot be restored.
