Iran announces fierce retaliation, Trump warns them not to do it

(Patria) - Amid the ongoing exchange of missile strikes in the Middle East, Iran announced that it had targeted 27 US military locations in the region.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the targets also included the Israeli Tel Nof air base, a military headquarters, and a large defense industry complex in Tel Aviv.

According to the IRGC, this was the sixth "wave" of retaliatory attacks using missiles and drones, reports Sky News.

The IRGC stated that it would continue its military operations, but these claims have not been independently verified.

"The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not allow the air raid sirens to fall silent in the occupied territories and US bases.

We will continue with repeated and painful strikes, representing a new and very severe step of revenge," the statement said, as reported by state media IRIB.

This threat came after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US and Israeli strikes yesterday, prompting Iranian authorities to immediately promise retaliation.

Shortly after the attacks, the IRGC issued a serious warning.

"The fiercest offensive operations in the history of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon begin against occupied countries and bases of American terrorists," they said.

The Iranian government stated in a statement that "this great crime will never go unanswered and will turn a new page in the history of the Islamic world."

Meanwhile, the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) also spoke out, stating that the joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran would "trigger a mass uprising in the fight against the world's oppressors."

This powerful body, which coordinates Iran's defense and security strategies, added that Iran and its allies would only become "more resilient and determined" after this.

US President Donald Trump warned Iran on his social media platform Truth Social.

Trump wrote that Iran "just stated that they will strike very hard today, harder than they have ever been hit before," and then issued a threat.

"They better not do it, because if they do, we will retaliate with force never seen before," Trump said in his characteristic style.
