(Patria) - The Iranian army has begun a retaliatory strike on Israel, launching more than 100 drones.
Israeli Brigadier General Efi Defrin (Effie) announced the start of Iran's retaliatory strike.
"It will take several hours for the drones launched from Iran to reach Israel. The Israeli army is already working on shooting them down," he stated.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned Israel's attack on Iran, in which several high-ranking military officials and individuals associated with Iran's nuclear program were killed, and the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the matter.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses strong condemnation and outrage over the blatant Israeli aggression against the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates its sovereignty and security and represents a clear violation of international laws and norms," the Ministry's statement reads.
As stated by Saudi Arabia, such attacks threaten further destabilization of the already fragile security situation in the region and call for urgent international intervention.
"While the Kingdom condemns these heinous attacks, it also affirms that the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, bears a great responsibility to immediately stop this aggression," Riyadh stated.
Saudi Arabia appeals for restraint from all parties and calls for respect of international law to avoid a new wave of violence, they stated.
