(Patria) - Iran issued a notice to pilots (NOTAM) on Thursday from 3:30 GMT to 13:30 GMT that it plans to launch missiles in areas across its south, the website of the US Federal Aviation Administration reported on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
Iran conducted naval exercises in the Strait of Hormuz this week and plans to conduct a joint naval exercise with Russia today.
The notice was issued amid heightened tensions with the United States, which has deployed warships near Iran, while US Vice President JD Vance said Washington is considering whether to continue diplomatic engagement with Tehran or consider other options.
The NOTAM system provides pilots, aircraft crews, and other airspace users with critical safety notices.
