Iran and Hezbollah strike northern Israel, firing over 100 rockets

(Patria) - Iran and the Lebanese military group Hezbollah have launched a coordinated attack on northern Israel.

This information was confirmed by a senior official from the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

This is the first joint attack by Iran and Hezbollah since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East on February 28.

Hezbollah announced that the operation is called "Eaten Straw" and that they fired more than 100 rockets.

Explosions and air raid sirens were heard in the northern Israeli cities of Kiryat Shmona and Haifa.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also reported launching a large wave of airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, tonight.

Despite US President Donald Trump claiming the war for the US has proven easier than expected, the Iranian leadership shows no signs of backing down.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also commented on social media, stating that the payment of war reparations must be part of any agreement to end the war with the US and Israel.

"In talks with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran's commitment to peace in the region. The only way to end this war – ignited by the Zionist regime and the US – is the recognition of Iran's legitimate rights, the payment of war reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression," Pezeshkian wrote on platform X.
