Iraqi opens "Bosnian Wand Airlines", announces flights, but it's not even an airline!?

Anything is possible in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as proven by the case of the mysterious company „Bosnian Wand Airlines“ which the Directorate of Civil Aviation (BDHCA) stated today is not even an airline and does not have an Airline Operator Certificate (AOC) issued by the Directorate of Civil Aviation of BiH, which is a necessary condition for carrying out air transport of passengers and goods for commercial purposes, writes the Patria news agency.

In recent days, the media have pompously announced flights of this company, but BHDCA says that the request for the planned flight, which was announced for January 9 from Sarajevo to Amsterdam, and which was cancelled, was received by the airline Hermes Airlines from Greece, and not by the company „Bosnian Wand Airlines“.

Ivica Veličan, director of Sarajevo International Airport, told Patria that this company is registered in BiH and that its headquarters are in Sarajevo.

- I don't have much information other than that we have a contract with them for renting premises at the Airport and we have contracts for handling and landing (landing and take-off) – says Veličan.

As Patria learns, the owner of this mysterious company is an Iraqi, and they have almost 30 employees.

Bosnian Wand Airlines also published a job advertisement for cabin crew positions. Through the Posao.ba agency, BWA announced a competition for a total of 28 cabin crew members, as well as a public relations manager, an IT specialist, a certified accountant, and a secretary, but the employer's address and contact information were not available to applicants, as applications were sent directly to the agency.

Otherwise, the first registration of this company was in Tuzla. There are many strange and unbelievable stories related to this company, and they have not commented for now.
