Investment over 300 million euros from Germany in wind energy in Glamoč and Bosansko Grahovo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Ivan Vukadin, Prime Minister of Canton 10, and Andreas Chollet, Head of Development Project of the German company wpd GmbH, signed a memorandum two days ago regulating the framework conditions for the construction of the first two out of a total of four planned wind farms. For these two wind farms in the municipalities of Glamoč and Bosansko Grahovo, initial private funds of 300 million euros are foreseen.

These two wind farms are the first part of the planned wind farm system "Livno - Glamoč - Bosansko Grahovo". With two additional wind farms in the municipality of Livno, the wind farm system is expected to cover a total investment volume of 1.5 billion euros and generate over 1000 MW of power.

This project represents a significant private investment in renewable energy sources and in the region. The wind farms are not only expected to produce clean energy but also to create jobs in the region. There is great potential here for BiH. On behalf of the Embassy, the Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the German Embassy, Dr. Daniel Stinsky, attended the signing ceremony and congratulated the canton and the company wpd on the ambitious project. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized German support for BiH in the construction of renewable energy sources and highlighted the importance of private investments, it was announced from the German Embassy.
