(Patria) - Banja Luka police today arrested I.J. from Gradačac, who was the subject of an international warrant for murder.
As Faktor learns, it is Ivan Jurić, who was sentenced in 2017 to 10 years in prison for murder. He had previously been arrested in Trebinje, but was not extradited to Croatia at that time because it was determined that he had dual citizenship.
The Banja Luka police stated that a victim reported to them yesterday that he was physically attacked by I.J. from Gradačac at around 3:45 PM in Banja Luka. The suspect was subsequently issued a misdemeanor citation for a violation of the Law on Public Order and Peace.
Only after subsequent checks was it determined that NCB Interpol Zagreb had issued a red diffusion warrant for Jurić for the purpose of executing a sentence for the criminal offense of murder.
"The prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka was informed, as well as the judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who ordered that the person be brought to the Court of BiH," the statement said.
