As much as 130 tons of suspicious chicken from Poland entered Serbia on March 15, Serbian media report, according to the Patria news agency.
The Ministry of Agriculture claims that salmonella was not found in that batch of meat from the producer "Animex Foods Spolka", as it was imported directly from Poland.
According to the authorities, only the meat of this company that was repackaged in France was contaminated.
Nevertheless, inspectors have been ordered to search stores in Serbia for Polish chicken.
