Inspection visit concluded: Good news for BiH companies, export of chicken meat to the EU will be enabled

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović and Director of the Veterinary Office of BiH Ljubomir Kalaba will hold a press conference on Monday regarding the results of the inspection visit by the Directorate for Food, Health, Analyses and Audit of the EU, whose inspection team stayed in BiH from September 26 to October 6 to assess the system of official controls in the poultry sector in the context of approving the export of meat and meat products of poultry from BiH to the European Union, writes Patria agency.

Preliminary conclusions of the inspection team will be announced at the press conference on Monday. The inspection team visited the facilities of BiH companies Madi, Ovako, Brovis and Agreks. The inspection stayed at the Madi company for one day.  

Although there is no official confirmation, these four companies received a positive assessment from the inspection team, and permission for export to European Union countries can be expected next year.
