After the countries in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other countries in Europe, eased travel restrictions for business purposes, Bit Alijansa today sent an initiative to the competent authorities to ensure identical conditions in BiH as well, with the aim of protecting contracted export deals.
Businessmen from BiH have business contracts that they are fulfilling abroad, and their representatives are obliged to travel to those countries to complete the contracted deals. The problem arises upon returning to BiH after such a trip, as these individuals then have to stay in self-isolation for a period of 14 days.
"This prevents them from returning to those countries or traveling to others within the agreed deadlines, which is a very common occurrence. Bit Alijansa calls on the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Government of the Federation of BiH, and the Government of Republika Srpska to urgently consider this situation in cooperation with the competent crisis headquarters and allow a different treatment for such individuals, which would ensure a more flexible possibility of returning to BiH, with all necessary re-testing measures. Otherwise, it is very possible that contracted deals will be lost, as the countries where the deals are being conducted have ensured conditions for business to continue."
"We are sure that a large number of businessmen in BiH are facing this problem, and we expect the competent authorities to urgently consider and provide an adequate solution, in order to preserve contracted deals and thus prevent further economic damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic," stated Bit Alijansa.
