Citizens' initiative: "Let's Clean Sarajevo in One Day" action today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The "Let's Clean Sarajevo in One Day" city cleaning action, launched on the initiative of citizens, will be held in Sarajevo today at 11:00 AM, announced KJKP "Rad".

The idea is for as many citizens as possible to participate in this major action, in order to clean a larger part of the city during the day and to remove garbage from Sarajevo's streets and parks as soon as possible. The action will begin with citizens gathering at several locations from which they will disperse to neighborhoods in the city.

Citizens who are unable to come to the gathering points can certainly contribute by cleaning in their neighborhood, around their houses and buildings. Students of the Second Gymnasium Sarajevo and the Gymnasium Obala will join the action, and the invitation also applies to all schools in the city that can engage their students in tidying up and cleaning schoolyards and areas around the school.

KJKP "Rad" will support the citizens' action, make its resources available, and take care of the removal of collected waste.

The gathering locations for citizens are the Historical Museum, Suada and Olga Bridge (Vrbanja), the Bridge near Elektroprivreda BiH, At Mejdan Park, Gymnasium Obala, Second Gymnasium Sarajevo, Trg Heroja, but citizens can also suggest locations themselves.
