Chief Prosecutors of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Offices of Una-Sana Canton and Tuzla Canton Appointed

(Patria) - Tomislav Ljubić has been appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office. Seven members of the HJPC voted for him, five were against, and two abstained. 

At today's marathon session of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadila Amidžić was appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Una-Sana Canton. 

The newly appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Una-Sana Canton stated during the presentation of her program that the prosecutor's office has achieved good results and has great ambitions in her future role, aiming to reduce unresolved cases and increase the efficiency of case resolution.

At the state level in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Dubak, Senad Osmić, Mladen Furtula, and Ahmed Mešić have been appointed state prosecutors.

When making appointment decisions, the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina takes into account criteria such as: professional knowledge, work experience and work results; professional abilities based on past career achievements; ability to perform duties impartially, conscientiously, diligently, decisively, and responsibly within the scope of the position applied for; relationships with colleagues, conduct outside of work, professional impartiality and reputation, and management experience.

In making appointments, the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina applies the relevant constitutional provisions governing the equal rights and representation of constituent peoples and others, and respects gender balance.

The newly appointed judicial officials will assume their duties on June 10, 2019, while the new term for the Chief Prosecutors of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton and the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton begins on the date the appointment decision is made.
