Imamović demands answers from Konaković: Why are you protecting crime and where is the 10 percent from disability benefits?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The president of the Association of Civilian War Victims, Senita Imamović, who attended the beginning of the session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly this morning, told the gathered civilian war victims in front of the Assembly building that today at the session of this canton there will be no items concerning this population. 

She added that she cannot believe that everyone has turned a deaf ear to the fact that civilian war victims are in front of the Sarajevo Canton building. 

"Inside, they are enjoying themselves, talking about weapons and saying they don't know what is happening with us. They are not aware that they are protecting the crime of the Union of Civilian War Victims. We demand from the Sarajevo Canton Assembly that the Union of Civilian War Victims be removed from the budget as soon as possible and that they stop protecting crime," Imamović stated. 

The president of the Association of Civilian War Victims demands an answer from the President of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Elmedin Konaković, to three questions. 

"Why are you protecting the Union of Civilian War Victims, where is the 10 percent from the reduction of disability benefits, and what about the lawsuits?" are the questions for Konaković posed by Imamović.

The Association of Civilian War Victims has announced a new gathering for Monday and a possible blockade of the Sarajevo Canton until their demands are met. A protest gathering of other associations of persons with disabilities has also been announced for Monday.

We remind you that several dozen civilian war victims gathered this morning in front of the Sarajevo Canton building, demanding that the authorities in the Sarajevo Canton include them in the legal category and grant them the benefits they believe they are entitled to.
