The Bosniak Club in the Council of Peoples of the BiH entity RS has vetoed the "Resolution on the protection of the constitutional order and the declaration of military neutrality" of that BiH entity. The Bosniak Club believes that the entity, with this resolution, encroaches on the competencies of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Head of the Bosniak Club Mujo Hadžiomerović told the Patria agency that the Resolution could be challenged in the Council of Peoples if the Croat Club in the Council also supported the veto.
The National Assembly of RS adopted, with the votes of the ruling coalition SNSD, SP and SDS-K, a resolution declaring the military neutrality of that BiH entity, meaning that RS is committed to coordinating any future status with the Republic of Serbia as a signatory to the Dayton Agreement.
President of HDZ 1990 Ilija Cvitanović told the Patria agency that the Resolution is a test for Dragan Čović, who needs to take a stance between Dodik and NATO.
"Čović can now prove that he is not only declaratively for NATO," Cvitanović said.
The Croat Club in the Council of Peoples of RS has eight delegates. He says that HDZ 1990 will oppose the Resolution in the Council of Peoples of RS. They have one delegate. Tomislav Tomljanović from HNS will do the same. He does not know how the delegates of HSP and HDZ BiH, who also have one delegate each, will vote.
In the Croat Club, there is also one delegate from SP, one from SDS, and two from SNSD.
"The Croat Club, unfortunately, due to the inability to elect legitimate representatives in the Council of Peoples of RS, has not yet had the capacity to raise the issue of vital national interest," Cvitanović said.
