ILIDŽA Fired at driver of another vehicle from a car, then fled

(Patria) - Around 2:20 PM, the Ilidža Police Department was notified that a firearm was used at the intersection of Ibrahima Ljubovića and Željeznička streets.

According to currently available information, an as-yet unidentified person used a firearm from a vehicle towards the driver of another vehicle, inflicting an injury, and then fled the scene.

The injured 44-year-old is at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) where he is receiving medical attention and the extent of his injuries is being determined.

The prosecutor has been notified, and police officers are on the scene, said Mersiha Novalić, spokesperson for the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

According to a photograph taken by the Patria team, two damaged cars are at the scene, and a traffic accident also occurred, at least judging by the damage to the vehicles. One vehicle is overturned.

The participants in today's shooting are individuals known to the police authorities.

The police later confirmed that the injured S.F. (born 1981) was diagnosed with a serious bodily injury to the left thigh area at KCUS.
