Iftars for miners, Merhamet's humanitarian action

The regional board of "Merhamet" Zenica prepared iftars for 120 miners of RMU Zenica in its soup kitchen. 60 iftar meals each were distributed to the miners of Stara jama and Raspotočje jama, as many were on shift.

According to the director of the Regional Board of "Merhamet" Zenica, Zijada Kliko, the miners of Raspotočje jama could not leave the mine for technical reasons, so their iftars were delivered to them in the mine. The miners of Stara jama managed to come out briefly and have iftar together.

The main board of "Merhamet" Kakanj prepared 100 iftars for the miners of the "Begići" mine in that city.

- The staff of our kitchens in Zenica and Kakanj made an effort to prepare the highest quality iftar meals for the miners. The miners were pleasantly surprised by our gesture, but we told them that they deserved our attention and that we wanted to express our gratitude, respect, and recognition for their dedicated work in this way. Of course, we did not forget the miners in Breza either. We will prepare iftars for them too. Many thanks to our donors, individuals and legal entities, who enabled us to prepare rich and diverse iftars for our hardworking miners - said Kliko.

She invited donors to support the "Iftar" campaign, which the Regional Board of "Merhamet" Zenica is carrying out during Ramadan, in order to include as many socially vulnerable families as possible in the Ramadan activities in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
