Ibrahimović: The new verdict is more important for constitutional changes than the "Sejdić-Finci" case!

The European Court in Strasbourg has ruled against Bosnia and Herzegovina in another case of human rights violations for persons not belonging to one of the three constituent peoples, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, the Court upheld the appeal of Azra Zornić, a member of the Social Democratic Party, who complained that as a member of the Others she could not be elected to the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Court in Strasbourg confirmed that her human rights were violated, and reaffirmed the earlier position from the "Sejdić-Finci" verdict, according to which BiH must enable all citizens the right to elect and be elected.

The Deputy Agent of BiH before the Court in Strasbourg, Zikreta Ibrahimović, told the BH News Agency Patria (NAP) that this is an important verdict, perhaps even more important than the verdict in the "Sejdić-Finci" case.

- The verdict is of great importance for constitutional changes. It is much deeper and broader – Ibrahimović told us briefly, after the verdict was announced, reports NAP.
