Vedad Ibišević, BiH national football team player based in Germany, sent an appeal via social media expressing his sympathy for the people in the Gaza Strip, writes the news agency Patria.
On his Facebook profile, he wrote in English "stop the killing of innocent people", and illustrated the post with a photo of a bloody Palestinian child.
Ibišević was not indifferent to the horrors in Gaza, and for who knows what time he showed his greatness and that he has not forgotten what horrors war brings. Otherwise, in 1992, Vedad and his family literally escaped from their home near Zvornik from the Chetnik knife at the last moment.
