Although funds secured in September, 300 cadets to be admitted to Border Police only in 2021!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, adopted the Decision on determining the Plan for admitting cadets to police agencies at the level of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2020, which envisages the employment of 300 cadets in the BiH Border Police by the end of April 2022.

According to the plan, the first group of 125 cadets for the rank of police officer and 25 cadets for the rank of junior inspector should start their training on January 1, 2021, and be employed in September 2021 (police officers), or in May 2021 (junior inspectors). The second group of 125 cadets for the rank of police officer and 25 cadets for the rank of junior inspector should start their training on October 1, 2021, and be employed in May 2022 (police officers), or in February (junior inspectors).

The European Commission, as part of the project to assist BiH in migration management, "IPA Special measures III", among other things, approved the financing of basic training costs for 300 Border Police cadets in the amount of 2,250,000 KM. These funds will be operational in September 2020.
