Strike Group for Combating Terrorism Preparing for Arrival of Refugees in BiH

Deputy Director of the BiH Border Police Zijad Srabović participated in a meeting of the Strike Group for Combating Terrorism held today at the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports the Patria News Agency.  

The meeting, chaired by Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović, was attended by officials from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, SIPA, Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, Service for Foreigners' Affairs of BiH, Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Federal Police Administration of BiH, and BiH Border Police.

Given the large influx of people from the Middle East into neighboring countries and the region, members of the Strike Group discussed the necessary activities in case of the arrival of individuals connected to terrorist groups who could misuse refugee migration towards EU countries.

Although there is currently no danger of a large influx of emigrants, members of the Strike Group agree that preventive action must be taken to avoid disrupting the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the meeting, priorities for action by all institutions within the Strike Group were agreed upon in order to detect and eliminate the threat of terrorism, it was announced from the BiH Border Police.
