That's BiH Too: MPs Adopt Budget for 2019 at the Very End of the Year

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - MPs of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Bill on the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for 2019, which should have been discussed at the beginning, not the end of the year.

However, due to the well-known recent blockade in the work of the BiH Parliament, the budget was not considered, and institutions and international obligations were financed based on the decision on temporary financing, and the Budget for 2019 was only adopted today, December 18.

The Report on the Execution of the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for 2017 was adopted, as well as the Report on the Financial Audit of the Execution of the Budget of BiH Institutions for 2017.

MPs also voted for the Report on the Execution of the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for 2018, as well as the Report on the Financial Audit of the Execution of the Budget of BiH Institutions for 2018.

The Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions, which would limit severance pay to 10,000 KM, was not adopted under urgent procedure, as the entity majority from RS was absent, so the law was sent for further harmonization.

Damir Arnaut (SBB), the proposer of the law, stated in his discussion that this severance pay is limited to 10,000 KM, while previously some individuals took as much as 30,000 KM from this privilege.
Finally, MPs adopted the Bill on Deposit Insurance in BiH Banks.
