(Patria) - The US Senate voted to override the veto on the Defense Bill of outgoing US President Donald Trump, with Republicans also turning their backs on him given the support for the bill's adoption was greater than necessary.
The Senate, with 81 votes "for" and 13 "against" at an extraordinary session on January 1, adopted a budget of 740 billion dollars, despite "Trump's objections".
Given that the House of Representatives did the same on Monday, the text of the Law has been definitively adopted.
This veto was precisely a test for Republicans as to whether they would adopt the Law or once again stand by Trump.
