Healthy Aging Centers in Action to Help Members

(Patria) - Representatives of three healthy aging centers in the Centar Municipality have launched a major joint action to help their members due to the state of emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Sanela Feratović, president of the Association "Healthy Living/Happy Aging", which manages the healthy aging centers at Muhameda Kantardžića 3 (building "Svjetlost"), and in Nahorevska street 103, said that six volunteers are engaged through this network of healthy aging centers of the Municipality to help their members.

"As our members are prevented from moving freely by the new emergency measures due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have established a help system that works in such a way that one day we call our members, of whom there are 987 from these three centers, and they make lists of what they need to buy in terms of food, medicine, and hygiene supplies. Based on these lists, the next day we divide into three groups and go shopping for groceries and medicines, which we deliver to our members at their addresses. In the last ten days, we have managed to visit and deliver aid to 240 of our members. They are very happy with this help and the only thing they are interested in is when this emergency situation will pass and when they will be able to come to socialize again at one of the healthy aging centers, which clearly shows how these centers are an excellent project", stated Feratović.
