During a protest by the Franak association in Croatia, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank reported that 80 percent of its clients have so far signed the conversion of CHF loans into euros, but that the final text of the new annexes to these agreements is still being harmonized and will be sent to clients later, reports the Patria news agency.
HAAB stated that it was among the first to send information and calculations related to the conversion of Swiss franc loans to its clients, and 80 percent of clients have so far signed the conversion. This information, in written form, was received by demonstrators from the Franak association who blocked the Hypo Bank branch on Ban Jelačić Square on Saturday.
The statement says that the final text of the annex related to Swiss franc loans is still being harmonized and will be in accordance with the law. It is emphasized that the new annexes will be sent to clients later and that they will in no way be placed in a less favorable position. The deadline for accepting the conversion, it is stated, is 30 days from receipt of the conversion proposal, writes Index.
