Huskić: The Prosecutor's Office of BiH Made Progress in the Radončić Case, Izetbegović's Pressure Unacceptable

The defense of Fahrudin Radončić claims that Radončić was arrested in a politically motivated and staged process. The SBB is imperceptibly beginning to block political life in BiH. On the other hand, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH claims that the indictment against Radončić was raised solely on the basis of facts and evidence.

Political analyst Adnan Huskić told the Patria agency that it is very difficult for him to determine and establish a proper judgment in the Radončić case. The epilogue of the entire process will have to be awaited. Huskić himself is of the opinion that without an independent judicial system, the state cannot function at full capacity.

- In the Radončić case, the judiciary of BiH has made certain procedural steps forward, in the sense that there was no spectacular arrest in front of cameras – Huskić told Patria. However, he adds, there were also some omissions. There were omissions on the part of the executive authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well. Huskić believes it is unacceptable that a member of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, suggested that Radončić should defend himself from freedom.

- That is already pressure on the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. He suggested to the judiciary what is good for the state. I think it would have been best for the state if Izetbegović had refrained from this comment – says Huskić. He is not clear why there was no reaction from international organizations in BiH after the pressure of political parties on the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
The leader of the SBB, Fahrudin Radončić, was arrested by order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, on suspicion of influencing witnesses in the case that the prosecutor's office in Kosovo is conducting against Naser Keljmendi. Radončić is also charged in connection with the affair regarding the appointment of the BiH ambassador to Slovenia, Nermana Hadžijahić. The Court of BiH today ordered him into custody for 30 days, Patria writes.
