Huseinović: Film "Herceg-Bosna, crime and punishment" does not criticize a nation, but a crime

The director of the film "Herceg-Bosna, crime and punishment", Avdo Huseinović, whose film premieres tonight in Mostar, says that his documentary is not directed against the Croatian people, but against the political and military leadership of the so-called Herceg-Bosna, who committed many crimes against Bosniaks during 1993 and 1994.

Huseinović told the BiH news agency Patria that there are court verdicts from domestic and international courts for the crimes committed by the leadership of the so-called Herceg-Bosna against Bosniaks, which he depicts in his new documentary, and that he has only filmed a reconstruction of actual events from that period.

It is not known how many camps were opened during 1993 and 1994 in the area of the so-called Herceg-Bosna, nor the number of those who passed through these camps.

In the documentary, Huseinović talks about about 20 camps, among which the most famous are the Gabela and Dretelj camps near Čapljina, Koštana Hospital and Helidrom in Mostar, the camp in Dubravica near Vitez, the camp in Kalinovik near Kiseljak, camps in Kreševo and Žepče, the Clinical Center and the Fire Station in Prozor...

It is estimated that around 25,000 Bosniaks passed through these camps, and many of them were killed there.

- In the film, we also show parts where the military and political leadership of the so-called Herceg-Bosna did not manage to turn the HVO against the Army of RBiH, as was the case in Sarajevo and many other cities in BiH – Huseinović told Patria.

The film is a project of the Association of Camp Detainees of BiH. The promotion is tonight at the National Theatre Mostar, at 8 PM, writes Patria.
