SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The documentary film "Human examples of an inhumane war" was screened today in Sarajevo's Multiplex Cinema City, after being shown in Banja Luka. The film is a project of the "Frontal.ba" portal team. It presents stories of humane deeds during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early nineties.
The Frontal editorial team presents stories from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Rogatica, Tuzla, and Jajce, about people who helped others regardless of their ethnic affiliation.
The film, among other things, features Arif Ahmetašević, the father of Edina Ahmetašević (20), who died at the Tuzla Gate. After losing his daughter, Arif captured five Serbian soldiers with the sabotage unit he commanded near Lukavac. Despite being urged to kill them, he decided to exchange them instead.
The film also shows the story of neighborly love and mutual respect between the families of David Gaon and Rabija Čehić in wartime Sarajevo in 1992. Despite all the hardships and horrors of war, they managed to maintain their friendship, reports the Patria news agency.
After Banja Luka and Sarajevo, the film will also be screened for the audience in Mostar.
