Humane people in action: The Ćosić family received a washing machine, aid keeps arriving

While politicians in power only worry about keeping their seats, good people across Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the diaspora, care about those who need help the most, writes the Patria news agency.

Recently, Patria published a story about a family in Srebrenica that lost its father. Muharem Ćosić left behind seven minor children and his wife Hajrija Ćosić.

The Ćosić family struggled even when Muharem was alive, so they needed help, as they survived by collecting and selling scrap metal.

The organization "Svjetlo" modestly provided financial assistance to the family as soon as they heard about the tragedy, and later brought them food and hygiene packages. This organization has been helping the Ćosić family for the past seven years, delivering packages once a month.

After we published that this family needed a washing machine, they received one very quickly, thanks to humane people who did not want their names mentioned.

Incidentally, the house where the Ćosić family lives is inaccessible and can only be reached on foot. As we were informed by the Svjetlo association, aid for this family arrives daily, and some have announced they will buy them a stove, as theirs is almost destroyed.
