Hubijar's Arbitrariness: Firing and Sending Workers on Vacation, Former Lawyer Now a Waiter

Of the 179 workers currently employed at the company ZOI '84, SDA director Midhat Hubijar intends to fire nearly half of them, the Bosnian news agency Patria has learned.

As a Patria source said, the expulsion of workers onto the street has already begun, many of whom were soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and defended this country. Hubijar gave the former graduate lawyer two options: to become a waiter or accept termination.

- The man accepted being a waiter, where would he find a job now if he got fired. And he placed a man in the legal department who is not a lawyer, but is suitable to the director – our source said.

Other workers are also in trouble because the director does not allow them to perform their work tasks, and fear of layoffs has crept in among the workers.

- This is an obvious example that SDA's goal is not employment, as their president Bakir (SDA deputy president Bakir Izetbegović, editor's note) says, but the goal is to destroy companies and drive people onto the street. He does not respect legal procedures, he started arbitrarily sending people on vacation. Isn't it obvious what he is doing. In the midst of preparations for the winter season, he is firing people and forcing them on vacation. We ask whether the judiciary and investigative bodies see what Hubijar is doing or will they turn a blind eye?

Our source also reveals that workers suffer daily mobbing from bosses and Hubijar himself, whose loyal cadres are ZOI '84 finance chief Sabina Lojo and secretary Vesna Tošić.

- He avoids tenants for the administrative building in the city center, from which we moved out without an agreed tenant. He does not even want to meet with interested tenants – states our source, who is also prevented from performing his work tasks.

We remind you, Hubijar came to the director position thanks to his friendship with the son of Huse Ćesir, president of the SDA Novi Grad municipal board. Before that, he worked in Saudi Arabia where he looked after the children of a Saudi prince.
