The strongest Bosnian-Herzegovinian food company „AS“ will launch its own retail chain, which will prioritize BiH domestic products. This was confirmed in an interview for the portal ekapija by Rusmir Hrvić, the head of the AS Groupation, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
- We have leased three facilities that previously housed „Tuš“. Our goal is to have 100 facilities. Currently, in the retail segment, we have 60 markets – said Hrvić.
- Our ultimate goal is to launch a domestic retail chain tentatively named BH. BAZAR, where all quality domestic products will be able to find their place, without restrictions and without additional payments for special positions, and without the problems that we have all been facing for a long time in the domestic market. The fight for shelf space will be reduced to the quality of the brand and its market value.
Expanding the domestic network of BiH retail chains, Hrvić believes, will be of great benefit to the entire domestic production, as well as to preserving existing and opening new jobs. The situation with retail chains in BiH that currently prevails in the country, Hrvić concludes, is a serious problem that directly threatens the real sector in BiH and destroys the economic substance of domestic development in the long run, reports Patria.
