Croatian consul and his wife injured in Iranian attacks on Tel Aviv

(Patria) - Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman says he spoke with the Croatian consul in Tel Aviv and his wife, who were injured in the Iranian attack on Israel, confirming that their injuries are minor in nature.

"I am shocked by the news that our consul and his wife were injured in the attack on Tel Aviv. The building where they live was hit. I personally spoke with them and fortunately the injuries are minor and not life-threatening.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs is in constant contact with the embassy and we are taking all measures to ensure their safety.

We strongly condemn attacks on civilians and diplomatic facilities. We call for immediate de-escalation and restraint," Grlić Radman wrote on Facebook.

Croatian Ambassador to Israel Vesela Mrđen Korać confirmed to Croatian media that the building where the two Croatian diplomats live was severely damaged.

- The consul and his wife sustained minor injuries - said Mrđen Korać.

In the early hours of Friday, Israeli forces carried out an attack on Iran, targeting nuclear and missile facilities, killing more than 104 people, including senior military commanders and scientists, and wounding nearly 380.

Iran responded with ballistic missiles that hit multiple locations across Israel, killing three people and wounding more than 90 others, according to reports.
