VITEZ, Patria - The Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina reacted to the verdict against the "Hague six" and stated that the verdict against the former leaders of Herzeg-Bosnia is not a verdict against the Croatian people but against individuals.
"The Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina believes that the verdict against the former leaders of Herzeg-Bosnia is not a verdict against the Croatian people or the HVO but against individuals who held various positions in the then Herzeg-Bosnia and the HVO," they consider from the party.
"We call on Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to accept the verdict with dignity, but at the same time we call on leaders of other nations and parties to show understanding and not to inflame passions and political tensions in their comments and messages," reads the statement of the Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
From that party, they emphasize that no side has reason or room for satisfaction and gloating because, as they state, horrific crimes occurred on all sides during the bloody war.
The Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina is dissatisfied with the verdict. The party stated that „the very fact that in a court case that lasted 13 years and in which thousands of pieces of evidence were presented, during the appeals process three judges have a different, i.e., dissenting opinion in dozens of cases, speaks for itself about what kind of verdict this is, the practice of that court, and the legal norms it applies."
