Croatian police find almost 3,500 tablets near Neum on a Kosovar citizen

(Patria) - At the Klek Border Crossing near Neum, officers of the Metković Border Police Station caught a 41-year-old Kosovar citizen with thousands of tablets in his car, reports the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Administration.

During border control, which police officers of the Metković Border Police Station carried out jointly with customs officials, 39 pieces of Diazepam medication and four plastic bags with another 3,485 round tablets of various colors were found.

All found tablets were confiscated with a receipt, and the driver was arrested on suspicion of illegal sale of tablets that are on the list of narcotic drugs.

Criminal investigation confirmed that these were tablets on the list of narcotic drugs, and that they were intended for further illegal resale.

Due to suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, the suspected 41-year-old was handed over to the detention supervisor of the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Administration, along with a criminal complaint.
