SARAJevo, (Patria) - Farmers and transporters from BiH are on their knees. In addition to already difficult business conditions, numerous blockades are coming from all sides.
Thus, dozens of trucks with gherkins and plums from BiH farmers have been stuck at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing with Croatia for several days, because due to working hours, phytosanitary inspectors are unable to check all products arriving at this crossing on time.
This leads to gherkins and domestic plums rotting and spoiling, and BiH producers, due to slow procedures on the Croatian side, miss delivery deadlines and lose their customers.
The problem arose when Croatia designated only the Bijača and Bosanska Gradiška border crossings as crossings through which fresh agricultural products can be exported. Due to the excessive number of exporters from Krajina and northern Bosnia gravitating towards this crossing, traffic jams have formed, leading to product spoilage.
