(Patria) - Eight children aged one to 14 were killed in a family dispute in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
The shooting occurred on Sunday around 6 a.m. in the city of Shreveport, said Police Chief Wayne Smith.
He added that a total of ten people were struck by gunfire.
Officials say they are still gathering information from the crime scene, which spans three locations.
Smith said the suspected attacker was killed in an exchange of fire with police during a vehicle chase.
Police believe there was a single attacker, U.S. media report.
