Hodžić: KS Government is blackmailing us to withdraw lawsuits, then they will approve the loan

Not even at the last session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly was there any desire or will to receive the six or seven of us from the ZOI '84 company, said Alija Hodžić, president of the Trade Union for the BH News Agency Patria.

- They did not even respect the request of one of the deputies to hold an urgent thematic session. I don't think the loan will be approved. The management is doing everything, and we are with them, to save the company. Of all the conditions, they have not fulfilled the most minimal one for us to live from our work – said Hodžić.

Hodžić believes that due to the upcoming elections, there will be no solution, and the workers have nothing to live on. Total debts now amount to 12.5 salaries for 183 workers, several of whom are nearing retirement, but due to this situation, it is unlikely they will achieve it.

- They expect votes from the employees of ZOI '84 , and not only them but also their families. On average, there are three voters per family. I doubt they will get votes – said Hodžić, stating that they received a message from the Canton to withdraw the lawsuit and they would get the loan.

- Is this blackmail? Who will guarantee it? I said when the money is deposited into the workers' accounts, we will withdraw the lawsuits the same second, it cannot be otherwise. We have been deceived so much that we trust no one – said Hodžić.

Although the Minister of Economy in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, Emir Hrenovica, promised them help, Hodžić says that he “has no will or desire to help ZOI '84 .”

- We asked for a loan for two salaries, and all companies are given money, GRAS, Toplane. It was about 400,000 KM, and we would pay two salaries from that and invest funds for the ski season. They did not have understanding for that, let alone for an 8 million KM loan – Hodžić points out.

A few days ago, their electricity was cut off, but it was reconnected after a payment of 2,500 KM.

- We could not pay the debt of 11,500 KM, so we paid what we could. The disconnection of electricity has been postponed, but it is not good in any case, the season is just around the corner, and we should already start working on at least what we have started – said Hodžić, reminding that last year the season was saved only because the workers, with a significant part of their own funds, completed the work at the Ski Center and Zetra.

Hodžić also said that they had a visit from a trade union from Norway, which offered assistance, writes Patria.
