Hodžić: I warned about crime in ZOI '84 back in 2014

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton did not support the Report on the work of ZOI '84 for 2016, headed since November 2014 by Midhat Hubijar, a cadre of the SDA. This once profitable and stable company, which was supposed to manage the legacy after the 14th Winter Olympic Games (ZOI) in Sarajevo, is now in millions of debt.

The rejection of the business report is an introduction to the removal of the management of this company, as was the case in the summer of 2017 with KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija.

The initiator of these processes is the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković, who, due to this company and the refusal of the request of his party colleagues from the SDA caucus to remove this report from the agenda, left all party functions.

During yesterday's session, Konaković said that from the position of prime minister, he will not protect those people who do not deserve it, that is, those who do not work well.

- This company has been financed from the budget of the Sarajevo Canton ten times and even more than all other companies combined. The „Veterinary Station“, the “Skenderija“ Center did not have even close to the budget support as ZOI '84. We pay their debts for water, we give them money for salaries, we procured everything related to six-seaters, four-seaters, artificial snowmaking... everything that this company should have paid from its own operations – said Konaković.

Former President of the ZOI '84 Union, Alija Hodžić, who in 2014 was among the first to point out irregularities in this company and the bad moves of director Hubijar, is happy because the Assembly saw through what kind of crime it is. Hodžić was subjected to mobbing in this company, and he waited for his pension for almost 11 months. Numerous other workers also sued ZOI '84, and among those for whom Hubijar prepared a dismissal was a pregnant woman.

- Justice is slow, but it is still attainable. People recognized the false report, the crime that prevailed, the failure to issue invoices. But it's not just Hubijar, several people are involved here – says Hodžić in a comment for the news agency Patria.

The company ZOI '84 manages the Zetra hall, and some representatives claim that the company's management drove away sports clubs. The clubs themselves also warned about this. They also manage tourist potentials and sports capacities on Bjelašnica and Igman.

Incidentally, as the media previously wrote, the director position at ZOI is Hubijar's first serious employment. Hubijar was placed at the head of ZOI '84 by the Novi Grad branch of the SDA.   

The Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton on Wednesday also did not support the Report on the work of TVSA for 2016.
