(Patria) - After the Minister of Internal Affairs of FBiH, Ramo Isak, confirmed in the Face TV studio that some lists exist and that more arrests are coming, and that 'politicians' are on the list, and that all those who have committed criminal offenses should not sleep peacefully.

He also said that there are likely lawyers and notaries on these lists, which, according to Patria's findings, could be the subject of discussions in the bar associations.
Some lawyers have already contacted the Regional Bar Association of Sarajevo, and the reason is the statement made by the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak, in the show "Centralni dnevnik sa Senadom Hadžifejzovićem".
The claim made, besides the fact that Mr. Ramo Isak has no jurisdiction in the operational work of the police in accordance with the Law on Internal Affairs of the Federation of BiH, represents a gross exceeding of authority and deception of the public that he, from the position of minister, can carry out arrests.
This is also understood as an attempt to put pressure on lawyers and an attempt to intimidate lawyers in performing their legal profession from the position of a political function of the minister and a protagonist of the policy and government of which he is a minister.
In the letter to which Patria had insight, it is stated that the narrative according to which there are allegedly lists of who should allegedly be arrested, without any proceedings initiated against these persons, and especially considering that in that narrative, lawyers are targeted from the position of power as persons to be arrested, indicates a flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of the rule of law, and the necessity of an adequate reaction and institutional protection of the rights of lawyers.
It was requested that sessions of the Management Board of the Regional Bar Association of Sarajevo, and the Bar Association of the Federation of BiH, be scheduled, and decisions be made to most sharply condemn the statements of the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, with which attempts are made to intimidate lawyers in the performance of their legal activities.
Furthermore, attention was drawn to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH in the case of appellant Goran Zubac, according to which statements by officials regarding criminal proceedings are considered a violation of human rights under Article 6, paragraph 1 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
