Will MPs extend the collection of RTV fees through telecom operators

The request by MP Mirsad Mešić for the consideration of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Public Broadcasting System of Bosnia and Herzegovina under an urgent procedure is on the agenda of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH today, writes Patria.

It is now proposed that this deadline for the collection of RTV fees through telecom operators be extended until December 31, 2017.

In the explanation of the proposed amendment, Mešić reminds that the three public RTV services - BHRT, RTRS, and FTV, addressed the Parliamentary Assembly and the Council of Ministers with a proposal to continue collecting fees through the existing model until a new one is established, even after the deadline for collecting RTV fees through telecom operators expires.
