Will the police step up controls: Constant robberies of tourists on Trebević

On Friday around 8:20 PM, a Hungarian citizen K.B.V. reported to the Stari Grad Police Station that he was robbed at the Trebević location, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The robbery occurred around 5:30 PM, and three individuals, threatening him with a knife, took his mobile phone and money. As announced by the MUP KS, police officers are working on finding and identifying this criminal act.

Such incidents drive tourists away from Sarajevo, and the police should step up controls and patrol this location more frequently.

Although ahead of the tourist season, the head of the First Police Administration, Fahrudin Halač, announced that surveillance of this area would be intensified, it is evident that daily robberies of both foreigners and domestic guests are slipping out of control. We remind you that car thefts are also frequent at this location, where thieves, threatening with weapons, throw owners out of vehicles and steal cars.

Besides Trebević, another problematic location where tourists often fall victim to thieves is Žuta tabija.
