Will Sarajevo Canton Get its 2022 Budget Today? Opposition Prepared Amendments

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An online session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly will be held today, with 25 items on its agenda, including the Proposal for the Sarajevo Canton Budget for 2022 and the Proposal for the Law on Execution of the Sarajevo Canton Budget for 2022. As usual, a heated debate is expected on this item, and the SBiH club in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, which has three representatives, has already announced a series of amendments to redirect the allocated funds to other projects.

Also on the agenda are the Proposal for the Law on Repealing the Law on Mitigating Negative Economic Consequences and Savings in Sarajevo Canton, as well as the Proposal for the Law on Municipal Fees.

Deputies will also consider several proposed decisions, such as the Decision on Granting Consent to the Financial Plan of the Public Institution "Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton" Sarajevo for 2022, along with the Decision on Execution of the Financial Plan of the Public Institution "Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton" Sarajevo for 2022; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Public Institution Sarajevo Canton Health Protection Institute for University Students in Sarajevo for 2021; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Public Institution Sarajevo Canton Institute for Sports Medicine for 2021; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Public Institution Sarajevo Canton Institute for Addiction Diseases for 2021; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Public Institution Sarajevo Canton Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance for 2021; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Public Institution General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" for 2021; the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Work Program and Financial Plan of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo for 2021; and the Proposal for the Decision on Granting Consent to the Statute on Amendments to the Statute of the Health Insurance Fund of Sarajevo Canton.

On the agenda are seven decisions on granting consent to the Sarajevo Canton Development Institute and the Sarajevo Canton Directorate for Roads, for the conclusion of Purchase Agreements for illegally constructed buildings for demolition, between the Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Transport – Directorate for Roads and the Sarajevo Canton Development Institute on one side, and seven individuals on the other, for the purpose of constructing the "IX" transversal – roundabout in Safeta Zajke street, in accordance with the Decision on Adopting the Framework for Property Acquisition and Compensation for the Realization of the Project of Constructing City Roads in Sarajevo Canton.

One of the items is the Proposal for the Decision on the Dismissal of the Independent Board of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and the Proposal for the Decision on the Appointment of the Independent Board of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly. The mandate of the previous convocation expires today, and according to the public call, a list of seven names has been proposed to the Assembly for the members of the Independent Board.

Also on the agenda is the Report of the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton on determining free additional taxi permits.
