Emergency session of the FBiH Government: Mines of the EPBiH Concern and RMU Banovići banned from hiring workers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's emergency session held by phone, tasked the mines operating within the Elektroprivreda BiH Concern and the mine in which the FBiH Government exercises management rights or powers based on state capital participation, RMU "Banovići" d.d., to immediately suspend all competition procedures for hiring workers.

The decision applies to the associated companies Mines "Kreka" d.o.o. Tuzla, Brown Coal Mine (RMU) "Đurđevik" d.o.o, RMU "Kakanj" d.o.o, RMU "Breza" d.o.o, RMU "Zenica", RMU "Abid Lolić" d.o.o. Travnik - Bila, Coal Mine "Gračanica" d.o.o. Gornji Vakuf - Uskoplje.

The obligation to suspend these competition procedures also applies to all initiated hiring processes, regardless of whether they involve employment for a fixed or indefinite period, announced the Public Relations Office of the FBiH Government.

Members of the management and supervisory boards of these companies are tasked with aligning the business policies of the companies with the development policies of the FBiH Government.

Exceptionally, the FBiH Government may give consent for conducting competition procedures and hiring, upon request of these companies, subject to prior opinion from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and submission of a mine reorganization plan.
