Emergency Session of the FBiH Government: Call to Domestic Companies to Participate in Vaccine Procurement

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The FBiH Government, at the initiative of the FBiH Prime Minister, held an emergency telephone session today.

At the session, it accepted information about a meeting held at the initiative of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during which, among other things, the procurement and delivery of vaccines to Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed.

The Federal Government authorized the FBiH Prime Minister to send a letter to the Council of Ministers of BiH expressing the FBiH Government's readiness to accept 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, as a donation from the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the needs of the FBiH.

The FBiH Government called on all domestic companies involved in the production, sale, and distribution of pharmaceutical products to participate in the vaccine procurement process, i.e., to consider the possibilities of importing vaccines for the needs of the FBiH in contact with the FBiH Public Health Institute.

The Federal Government today tasked the FBiH Public Health Institute to coordinate further activities with companies that express readiness to import vaccines for the needs of the FBiH.
