Emergency reported to police: 19-year-old girl seriously injured, attacker arrested

Last night shortly before 8 PM, Sarajevo Emergency informed the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton that they had an intervention in Zuke Džumhura Street and that from the said address they were transporting an injured female person to the Clinical University Center with an injury caused by a sharp object in the back area, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton reports, as conveyed by the Patria news agency.

- Police officers of the Center Police Station at the Clinical University Center learned that it was A. A., born in 1996 from Sarajevo, who stated that around 7 PM, she sustained the injuries from an unknown perpetrator. The attending doctor at the Clinical University Center diagnosed life-threatening serious bodily injuries, and the injured person was kept for further treatment. The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed about the incident and did not go to the scene, while investigative actions under their authorization were carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton - stated the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

Due to grounds that he committed the criminal offense of serious bodily injury, committed to the detriment of A.A. from Sarajevo, police officers of the First Police Administration - Center Police Station arrested M.E., born in 1993 from Sarajevo, this morning at 3 AM.
