(Patria) - The United Nations (UN) Security Council will meet on Monday at Ukraine's request following massive Russian air attacks that killed several people and the use of the latest generation Oreshnik missile, the French newspaper Le Monde reported on its website.
- Russia has reached a terrifying level of war crimes and crimes against humanity in its attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine - stated Ukrainian Ambassador to the UN Andriy Melnyk in a letter requesting the meeting, Beta reports.
He added that such an attack represents a serious threat to the security of the European continent, undermines regional stability, and poses serious risks to international peace and security in a broader sense.
The Russian Federation officially took responsibility on Saturday for the use of a "medium-range ballistic missile known as 'Oreshnik' in the Lviv region."
