Historic meeting of Trump and Kim Jong-un

US President Donald Trump arrived in Singapore on Sunday evening ahead of a historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, with whom he will discuss denuclearization. 

The US President arrived from Canada, where he participated in a meeting of the leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) most industrialized countries in the world.

Before leaving Canada, Trump again expressed optimism regarding the summit in Singapore on Saturday. 

- I have a feeling that Kim Jong-un wants to do something truly significant for his people. He now has the opportunity to do so - he said, adding that this is a unique opportunity that will never present itself again. 

The Trump-Kim summit will be held on Tuesday morning at the Capella Hotel. It will be the first meeting of a North Korean leader with a sitting US president.
