Himzić: I did not attack Vučić, I have a video recording from the scene in Potočari, I will hand it over to the police

Elvedin Himzić from Tešanj denies participating in the attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić on July 11, during the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

About what happened during the incident in Potočari, he claims to have recorded video material lasting about six minutes, which will testify to his innocence, but also reveal new details about what actually happened on July 11 in Srebrenica.

In an email that Himzić sent to the editorial office of the news agency Patria , it is stated that the publication of his photograph and name in the media as a person who participated in the attack on the Serbian prime minister endangers the life of his family and himself.

Serbian media have identified Himzić and several of his friends as potential attackers on Vučić in Potočari, and the information was obtained from Serbian intelligence agencies. Himzić says that the photograph with his name has been published in various media for days, labeling him as an assassin, even though he has not yet been questioned by any police agency.

- When the delegation of the Serbian government appeared at the entrance to the Memorial Center, the crowd began to protest and shout derogatory words. I took the camera and started recording what was happening.

As the delegation hurriedly approached the place where I was (about ten meters from the path the delegation passed), a crowd and commotion ensued. I moved towards the fence to have a better view and a place to record. Then real chaos broke out: bottles, shoes, pieces of earth flew from all sides. I continued recording even after the delegation left the Memorial Complex - claims Himzić.

He adds that it is not clear to him on what evidence they declared him an assassin of the Serbian prime minister.
Under full material and criminal responsibility, he rejects any notion that he in any way endangered the Serbian prime minister or any other participant in the commemoration with his actions, states Himzić in the letter, as reported by NAP.
