Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has founded a political organization with the aim of fighting President Donald Trump, writes AFP, reports Patria.
- We are founding the group "Onward Together" to encourage people to get involved, organize, and even run for office - Clinton said via her Twitter profile.
The website of the newly formed organization states that the organization's goal is to promote progressive political values.
- In recent months, we have seen what is possible when people unite to resist intimidation, hatred, lies, and division, and stand up for a fairer, more inclusive America - the organization stated.
Donald Trump's opponent in last year's presidential election emphasized that she expects support from other similar organizations, and announced support for the Democratic Party in the elections scheduled for next year.
- Who knows what we can achieve if we approach the battles ahead with the passion and determination we feel today, and bring that energy into 2017, 2018, 2020, and beyond - the organization's statement reads.
