Hezbollah releases footage: 'We hit six Israeli tanks in 90 minutes'

(Patria) - Fierce clashes continue in southern Lebanon between the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Israeli army, which has launched an invasion of the area.

In one of the latest attacks, Hezbollah released footage of the destruction of three Israeli Merkava tanks.

Hezbollah claims that a column of Israeli army tanks fell into an ambush near the town of Taybah in the Marjayoun district. The attack was carried out with anti-tank guided missiles.

They also state that this was part of a larger operation carried out on Thursday around 1 AM, during which a total of six tanks were hit in 90 minutes.

Thermal footage was also released, allegedly showing three tanks in flames and Israeli soldiers fleeing the scene of the attack on foot.

The Israeli army and Hezbollah signed a ceasefire agreement in the autumn of 2024, but Israel has repeatedly violated it by bombing southern Lebanon.

The conflict escalated after Hezbollah responded with rocket attacks following the assassination of Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, Israel has killed more than a thousand people in airstrikes on Lebanon since the beginning of the war, the majority of whom were civilians.
